Meet the Booksellers

ELIZABETH J. RECOMMENDS

Our general manager and buyer, Elizabeth J, has been a bookseller for over twenty years. She started out with a "temporary" job as a bookseller at BookPeople in Austin, Texas. That temporary job turned permanent and she worked at the store in many roles, ultimately becoming the store's CEO. But San Antonio has always been home so Elizabeth jumped at the opportunity to partner with Jenny Lawson to create an independent bookstore for her hometown!

Elizabeth likes to read literary fiction and nonfiction (think, history that reads like a novel or essay collections) and is trying to love horror novels (but she's a real wuss). She also enjoys reading middle grade novels with her two kiddos, Oliver (12) and Henry (8).
